1. Explain it simply
State a first point, then use 并且 to add a second point that pushes in the same direction.
Order: Clause A，并且 Clause B. 并且 heads the second clause, not the whole sentence.
The two clauses usually share one subject, so the second clause often starts straight from its predicate.
并且 is a bit more formal than 而且 and works well in writing and clear explanations.

这个办法很简单，并且很有用。
Zhège bànfǎ hěn jiǎndān, bìngqiě hěn yǒuyòng.
This method is simple, and moreover very useful.
