1. Explain it simply
即使 introduces a condition that may be extreme or unlikely; 也 marks that the result holds anyway.
Order: 即使 Clause A,Subject 也 Clause B. Put 也 right after the subject of the second clause.
即使 can raise an unreal or worst-case condition, unlike 如果, which raises a real one.
Keep the pair together: 即使 needs 也 to complete the even-if-still meaning.
2. Show examples
即使工作再忙,他也坚持锻炼。
Jíshǐ gōngzuò zài máng, tā yě jiānchí duànliàn.
Even if work is busy, he still keeps exercising.
也 follows the subject 他
即使外面下大雨,我们也要去看比赛。
Jíshǐ wàimian xià dàyǔ, wǒmen yě yào qù kàn bǐsài.
Even if it rains hard outside, we still want to go watch the match.
即使 raises an extreme condition
即使路很远,她也每天走路上班。
Jíshǐ lù hěn yuǎn, tā yě měitiān zǒulù shàngbān.
Even if the road is far, she still walks to work every day.
也 keeps the result holding
3. Share a tip
Do not drop 也 - 即使 alone cannot carry the concession; and place 也 after the subject, not before it.
